Volcanic rock, Isla Socorro |
1. Introduction
After our trip to Bonaire in November of 2005, I once again
vowed to postpone vacations in an effort to save annual leave and
money.
This time we made it a year and a half before we utterly caved and
booked
a live-aboard trip to one of the more remote archipelagos in the
Pacific--the
Islas de Revillagigedo (Socorro Islands). Returning four years
after
our first visit, we looked forward to diving the spectacular walls with
a little more experience and the hopes of hearing and/or interacting
with
wintering humpback whales.
