Two members of AF pod traveling south down Stephen's Passage
near Outer Pt. in 1998.
The closer orca is AF29, Pelican, the first orca I ever identified and a member of our most frequently
sighted orca pod. These killer whales have become like friends to us and finding them is always a great
joy; they are playful, as are most resident (fish eating) pods, and are very accepting of our company.
